Getting Started with the Billit API

To utilize the Billit API, you must have a Billit account with access to the Accesspoint API. This account serves as the master account for sending E-invoices on behalf of your customers, granting you access to invoice data, statuses, and track-and-trace capabilities.

Account Setup

1. Create a Billit Account: Begin by creating an account at the sandbox environment and sandbox environment.

2. Accesspoint API Usage: If you plan to use the Accesspoint API to integrate E-invoicing into your software and act as a service provider, reach out to [email protected] for further instructions.

Integration Process

1. Follow Getting Started!

2. Access to Sandbox Environment: Upon approval, you will receive access to our sandbox environment to begin development.

3. Development and Testing: Build and test your integration within the sandbox environment.

4. Security Review: Review the integration process and complete a security checklist (provided from the start).

5. Move to Production: Once development and testing are completed, and security matters are verified, you can transition to the production environment.

Are Sandbox and Production linked to each other?

• No Sandbox is fully isolated from Production meaning it runs separately. So the API key used on Production will not work on Sandbox and vice versa.

What is the difference in license? It looks like I have to buy a license.

• [SANDBOX] you are allowed to test and build your integration as long as needed. You will be prompted to pick a license, which you can do since this will not be billed. See more info here on how to start > How do I get started with the API?
• [PRODUCTION] The moment you start building the integration you receive a 15 day trial. When this is finished you will hit the paywall.

When I send an invoice will they be delivered?

It depends on the transport type chosen. There are different networks which we use on our 2 environments

1. Production network = They will be delivered as an official invoice
2. Test network = They will be delivered to the test network of the chosen network type. (If receiver is registered)
